The customers you lose at peak never tell you they left.

Count the people who look at your queue at half twelve and walk out. That number never appears in your takings.

The bottleneck is order entry

Four people ahead at ninety seconds each is six minutes before you have ordered. Most of that time is the conversation: what is in that, can I have it without the mayo, is that the large one. None of it needs a member of staff.

Your counter stays open

The kiosk sits alongside the counter. People in a hurry use the screen, people who want to talk to somebody still can, and the rush has somewhere else to go. Your team moves from taking dictation to making food and running plates.

Guests ordering for themselves

“Customers can order when they’re ready, without having to wait for a member of staff.”

Dino Sura on guests ordering for themselves. He says so on film, by name, at his own venue.

The screen offers the upsell every time

At peak a server mentions the side maybe half the time. A screen asks on every order, and guests take their time, read the description and add the upgrade. Nothing is transcribed, so the order reaches the till and the kitchen exactly as it was built.

What it costs

£39 a month

For the kiosk module. Hardware included, free setup, £0 upfront, no PCI fee. A quick service site running a kiosk alongside the till is £78 a month. Prices exclude VAT.

Questions operators ask

Will a kiosk mean I need fewer staff?

It changes what your team does at peak. Order entry moves to the screen and your people go back to service, the pass and the floor. Most venues find the gain in the customers they stop losing to the queue.

Do older customers actually use them?

Some do and some do not, which is exactly why the counter stays open. The kiosk absorbs the people in a hurry and the counter keeps the people who want to talk to somebody. Both get a route in.

Does the order reach the kitchen without anyone retyping it?

Yes. It goes from the screen into the till and onto the kitchen display in one movement, with modifiers and coursing intact. Nothing is transcribed, which is why accuracy goes up.

What payments does the kiosk take?

Contactless, chip and PIN, Apple Pay, Google Pay and swiped cards, taken on the kiosk itself. Receipts go on screen or by email. Transactions are tokenised and covered by PCI validated point to point encryption, and there is no PCI fee on your account.

What does a kiosk cost, and is the hardware extra?

The kiosk module is £39 a month. Hardware is included, setup is free and there is nothing upfront. Prices exclude VAT and every module is listed in full on the pricing page.

Where does a kiosk work best?

Quick service counters, takeaways, coffee shops, venue bars, hotel lobbies and golf clubhouses: any room with a hard peak. It works alongside counter service, with the kiosk absorbing the rush while the counter looks after anyone who wants to talk to a person.

Everything else runs on the same account

A card machine is one part of it. The till, the kiosk and your own ordering page all sit on the same account, at the same rate, with the same support.
