The rules for using this website. Short, and in English.
These terms cover shift4pay.co.uk and nothing else. In particular they are not the agreement you sign if you become a customer. That is a separate document, and you get it, with your quoted rate in it, before you commit to anything.

Shift4Pay is a trading name of EMENU LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.

We publish our product and module prices in full because we think you should be able to work out what something costs without booking a call. That is information, not an offer capable of acceptance.
Every price published here is exclusive of VAT, and VAT is added at the prevailing rate on the invoice. Card processing is quoted individually against your own turnover and card mix, so no rate on this site is your rate until we have quoted it.
You become a customer when we have quoted you and you have signed the agreement we send. Not before, and not by using this website.
We are an independent UK company. We are not Shift4 Payments, we are not owned by Shift4, we are not a subsidiary of Shift4 and we are not their agent. We cannot make commitments on their behalf and nothing on this site should be read as Shift4 saying it.
The technology in a Shift4 POS system is built by Shift4. The company you contract with for what we sell is EMENU LIMITED. Where a separate agreement with Shift4 is required, that is between you and them and we will tell you so at the time.
Where we publish a figure that is not ours, we say where it came from and when we checked it. Where a figure is ours, we say that too.
Third party numbers move. Competitor pricing changes, marketplace commission changes, and a figure that was right in August will not always be right in March. If you are making a decision on one of them, check it at source. If you find one of ours out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
Read it, print it, send it to your business partner or your accountant. That is what it is for.
The text, images, films and page designs belong to EMENU LIMITED or to whoever licensed them to us. Please do not republish them, sell them, or lift them to build a competing offer.
Client and partner logos belong to those companies and appear here with permission. The customer films are ours to show, and the people in them agreed to be filmed and named.
Do not try to break the site, reach parts of it that are not public, or introduce anything harmful to it.
Do not scrape it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else.
Do not use the enquiry form to send anything unlawful, or to pretend to be somebody you are not.
We link out to Shift4, to YouTube for the customer films, and to third party sources for figures we cite. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else's site under their terms and their privacy policy. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for them.
We do not promise this website will always be available, or always free of errors. We may change it, add to it or take parts of it down without telling you first.
None of that affects the support arrangements for a live account, which are set out in the agreement you sign rather than here.
Nothing here limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude.
Beyond that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on anything published on it.
If you become a customer, the liability position for the products and services we actually supply is set out in the agreement you sign. This page does not govern that, and it does not reduce it.
What this site collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and how to make us delete it is set out in full on the privacy and cookies page, along with every cookie and its duration.
We update this page when the site changes. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading. If we change something material we will say so on the page rather than quietly swapping the text.
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
These are the terms for using this website. They are not the agreement you sign as a customer. That is a separate document, sent with your quoted rate, and it is what governs the commercial relationship.
If anything on this page appears to conflict with the agreement you signed, that agreement takes precedence.
